Heat Press Instructions
The following process are the steps we take to press our transfers onto t-shirts. Every heat press and environment is different so please keep that in mind when pressing your own transfers. If you are not pressing your transfer onto a t-shirt and need instructions then please feel free to reach out to customer support by emailing support@prints4press.com.
1. Prepare your shirt
Place your shirt on the heat press and smooth out any wrinkles. You can press the shirt for 2-5 seconds to remove wrinkles if desired.
3. Place the transfer
Line up your transfer in the desired location and place your parchment paper or Teflon sheet on top of the transfer. This step ensures that the top of the press stays clean and lasts a long time.
4. Press
Press your transfer at 320°F or 160°C at high pressure for 40 seconds.
5. Peel
We recommend waiting 15 seconds before peeling your transfer. Although not necessary, we find that letting the ink rest eliminates some errors caused by improper pressing.
6. Finishing Press
The finishing press provides a better hand feel and smoother image. After peeling your image press your shirt again at 320°F or 160°C for 15 seconds. We recommend using parchment paper or a Teflon sheet to protect the top of your press.
